I like it much better, this time I used my hook which is a size K
instead of my MIL's which is a size F.

I think Hobby Lobby has like 40% off on knitting/crocheting needles/hooks this week. That's when I load up. The Susan Bates asst. pack is a good buy~you get several sizes. I use H and I the most.
Try this pattern: alternate between putting your hook into the front loop (sc) in the first chain, and the back loop in the next chain, repeat across~makes a neat pattern.
